Hello Everyone, sorry to bother you again, but could you please sat a few more prayers that I can persevere in faith and studies as I continue to seek a medical residency training position. May I have the heart of St. Monica, that never gives up, enduring and trusting that God will bless me and give me peace when this is over. Thanks so much

Prayer of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton:

O Father, the first rule of our dear Savior’s life
was to do Your Will.
Let His Will of the present moment
be the first rule of our daily life and work,
with no other desire
but for its most full and complete accomplishment.
Help us to follow it faithfully,
so that doing what You wish
we will be pleasing to You.

I offer for you the following prayer which is adapted from a College Admissions prayer by Karen Barber at prayerideas.org .

Dear Jesus, I pray for your help and guidance in helping Ben to obtain a medical residency. He has a dream in his heart of becoming a doctor so he can help people who are sick and injured and also fulfill his career aspirations. He has worked very hard so far to achieve this dream. I pray that you will help him to persevere in his faith and studies and to obtain a residency that will be a good fit for his aspirations and his talents. Please be with him in every detail of his studies and his preparation process, including any selections or applications he must make. Help those in charge of providing the residencies see Ben’s potential. I pray that you will also be with him daily as he waits to hear the decision, and that you will keep him strong in faith and protect him from becoming discouraged or losing heart, Please fill him with confidence and keep him from all anxiety.

We thank You for your promise in the Bible, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of affliction, to give you an end and patience. And you shall call upon me, and you shall go: and you shall pray to me, and I will hear you.’” (Jeremiah 29:11, Douay-Rheims) Please give Ben a better idea of the thoughts You are thinking and the plans You have in mind for him. Help him to trust in You to enlighten and guide him to just what You want him to do and where You want him to be, even if it differs from his own ideas. In the name of Jesus Christ I humbly ask this. Amen.
