😦

Prayers for you.

I can only sympathize in terms of PP nursing cycles…which also suck…but I don’t think they last anywhere close to as long as Peri-menopause cycles last.

I know it does. You have a lot of symptoms that you have when you’re pregnant, or at least I did. I had crying periods, unusual and erratic bleeding and sure was hard to cope with. My prayers are with you.

Are we permitted to use the S-K word on this system? :)🙂

Anyhow, OP, for you, ICXC NIKA.

Pretty much everything that is associated with women’s reproductive systems suck, except for actually having kids. Periods suck. Hormones suck. Acne sucks. Cramps suck. Pregnancy sucks. Swollen feet suck. Heartburn sucks. Labor sucks. Tearing and stitches suck. Breast-feeding sucks. Breast cancer sucks. Ovarian cysts suck. Peri-menopause sucks. Actual menopause sucks. Painful sex from decreased hormones sucks. The whole system is rigged. Thanks a lot, Eve!

Ha!

Allegra said breastfeeding sucks. 😛

To the OP, I am sorry that perimenopause is difficult, and I think it is good to honestly give vent to the challenges of a woman’s lifecycle of fertility.

I’m sorry, 1ke.

Other fun female reproductive treats:
  • Breast pancakes (aka mammograms), now complete with high type 1 and 2 error rates!
  • The indignity of pelvic exams-- you want to put that lubed up shoe-horn shaped implement where?!
At least we don’t have to hear these 3 words every year after 40 at our annual physical : digital recal exam. 😉

Don’t EVEN go there with me right now!
Well look at it this way. Short life where everything does not suck or long life where everything sucks.
Exactly! You nailed it. There’s your answer GEddie (and any other men out there with the nerve to post in this thread in the first place lol! :rotfl:)

That is all.
That, and it lasts too long. I suppose it is the hair shirt you didn’t choose for yourself. There has to be a merit in there, somewhere, but it is hard to see at the time.

Totally! So sick of it. I keep hoping the official end is here and then I get a period - each one wonkier than the previous. some are long, others short. Sometimes heavy, others amazingly light. Looking at my charts, I could easily be convinced I haven’t actually ovulated in over a year but who knows? Good luck!

But the good so often out weighs the negative. I don’t remember liking being pregnant much, but on the other hand, my hair and fingernails were phenomenal! Bonus benefit - my acne went away. Menopause was great for me as I finally caught up with my husband, who had prostate cancer years ago. Breastfeeding - once I got the hang of it and when the “little nipper” didn’t bite - was awesome.

I know that for some people, every thing is painful and a problem, but for most of us, it’s how we look at it.

At three in the morning, yes it does. And when you get backed up! And when they get teeth! And if you get an infection! And when you have to go back to work and you have to pump! Pumping sucks even more because you don’t get to snuggle a cute baby!

I thought of some more. Having to tie a sweatshirt around your waist in the 7th grade and hope nobody notices before you get home sucks. Having other kids talk about why you aren’t getting in the pool at camp sucks. Also, post-natal pee sneezes suck.
