Perpetual Adoration Question?

Im Catholic - I have not received first communion or confirmation yet. I still need to attend RCIA.

Anyway, I havent been to Mass in a very long time!!

Im dealing with some mental health issues & have returned to my faith & the Lord during this difficult time. I have left my faith on the back burner for too long & it has caught up with me! It is now a Priority!

I visited the church today to sit in silence & pray to the Lord.

For the first time ever - I knelt in front of the Mary statue to ask for her intercession with my prayer requests & lit a candle.

As I was leaving the church, I noticed their was a Perpetual Adoration Chapel. ** As a RCIA candidate am I able to go to Perpetual Adoration?**

Yes. I was told that anyone of any Christian faith can be a part of Perpetual Adoration and indeed, the Church where I have been a part of it has people of many denominations.

I brought a Methodist Pastor to adoration.

Jesus ate with sinners and tax collectors, did he not? Of course you can go. You need to go. He wants you there.

You are very blessed to have perpetual adoration. My Church has PA as well and I make use of it all the time. It is a great gift of God to be able to kneel in the presence of Jesus.

You certainly are permitted to make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament. And you may even make a Spiritual Communion by telling Jesus that you believe that He is really present in the Blessed Sacrament and ask Him to come to you at least spiritually since you are not yet able to receive Him sacramentally through Holy Communion.

Everyone is invited to Adoration of the Holy Sacrament. You are so fortunate to have perpetual adoration available to you. At my small church, Benediction and Adoration is available only on the first Friday of the month and only for one hour.

Throughout the Bible, Jesus reached out to those who needed Him most. He wants you there.

Every one is welcome to go to Adoration. I had a friend who was a hard core Satanist who wondered what I was doing every week and I invited them to attend with me. She never said anything for a long time. She never disrepsected anything in the Church and in time, the first thing that she said about Adoration was to me the following year.

She said she wanted to come into the Church becuase of what Adoration did for her. What she noticed was the reverence and the peace on people’s face coming to adore Jesus in the Sacrament.

It was to my extreme joy to see her baptized, confirmed, and receive the Eucharist for the first time. I will never forget her first confession either. She told me that none of this would have happened had I not insisted that it would be okay for her to come to Adoration provided she would do nothing to disrespect the Church or anyone in the Church. Now that is the power of Christ compelling. God be praised.

SO yes, go to Adoration. I would recommend it to anyone.
