Eternal God, please bless our priests, who represent You on this earth. Make them more greatly aware of the grace that You pour out through them when they minister the sacraments, and help them to fall more deeply in love with You after each and every Mass that they celebrate. Please strengthen our priests, who shepherd Your flock, when they are in doubt of their faith, that they may be examples of Your Truth and guide us always on the path to You. We ask these things of You, our Eternal Priest. Amen.

First Luminous Mystery

THE BAPTISM OF JESUS

Jesus descended into the waters to be baptized by John. He took up the challenge of His Father. He knew He would suffer on behalf of us and His suffering would lead to the forgiveness of sins. He knew He was king but His Throne was to be a cross.

We pray that our priests will imitate Our Lord’s humility as they do their priestly duties by accepting their challenges from God.

We pray for an increse of vocations.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name! Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen!
