The Agony in the Garden

They came to a place named Gethsemane. He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” He advanced a little and fell to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour might pass Him by.
Kneeling, He prayed, saying, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me, still not my will, but yours be done.”
And to strengthen Him, an angel from Heaven appeared to Him. He was in such agony, and He prayed so fervently, that His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
Dear Lord, We pray that you will aid us in our times of need. Help us to discern Your Will for us, and especially for all those discerning the priesthood or religious life, strengthen us to overcome all fear in our way.
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
Amen.
