Jesus I trust in You,
Amen.

Intention:
Pray that we will each submit ourselves
this day as a living sacrifice to
God, giving all that we have in us for
those being sacrificed on the altar of
convenience.
Scripture:
I beseech you therefore brethren, by
the mercies of God, that you present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
to God, which is your reasonable service.
— Romans 12:1

source: 40daysforlife.com/docs/fall2013day38print.pdf
Intention:
Pray that we become vessels of hope to
all around us, especially to those who
minister in the pro-life movement. [witness]
Scripture:
On the first day of the week, very early
in the morning, the women took the
spices they had prepared and went to
the tomb. They found the stone rolled
away from the tomb, but when they entered,
they did not find the body of the
Lord Jesus. “Why do you look for the
living among the dead? He is not here;
he has risen!” — Luke 24:1-5
Prayer:
Lord, fill your people with new hope.
Make us vessels of hope to all around
us, especially to those who minister in
the pro-life movement, that as we engage
in the difficult work ahead, we
may experience the peace and joy that
come only from you and that nobody
can take away from us. We ask this
through Christ our Lord, amen.

Hail Mary,
full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Jesus I thank you that the Bishop of Rochester MN took a group of seminarians
to participate in the 40 Days for Life, there. That many parishes across the
land are involved. Amen.

Scripture:
In this you greatly rejoice, though now
for a little while, if need be, you have
been grieved by various trials, that the
genuineness of your faith, being much
more precious than gold that perishes,
though it is tested by fire, may be found
to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation
of Jesus Christ. — 1 Peter 1:6-7
Reflection:
We have reason to rejoice when we
consider the many babies whose lives
have been saved during the 40 Days for
Life campaign. Add to those lives, the
women and men who have been
spared from a devastating decision and
now have opportunity to make a plan
for their baby that is both life affirming
and God honoring. …
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we sing to You a
new song, for You have done marvelous
things. Forgive us when we allow
circumstances to defeat us. You give
power to the faint and You increase
strength in those who have no might.
We rest in You dear Lord, and ask You
to empower us again for Your service
as You work out Your plan for us and
through us.
May You receive glory through our victory
in Christ, in whose name we pray,
amen.

Praying that the Sanctity of Life may be respected from conception to natural death.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

40daysforlife.com/docs/fall2013day40print.pdf
Intention:
Let us keep our eyes fixed on the New
Jerusalem, where death will be no
more.
Scripture:
He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death or mourn-
ing or crying or pain, for the old order
of things has passed away.” He who
was seated on the throne said, “I am
making everything new!”
— Revelation 21:4-5
Prayer:
Father, you are the God of hope. Your
word fills us with the vision of the
world to come, when every tear will be
wiped away, and death will be no more.
Father, how we need that hope, how
we are strengthened by that vision!
Keep our hearts focused on heaven,
and diligent in the labors of earth.
As we struggle against the culture of
death, root our souls in the assurance
of victory. We pray through Christ our
Lord. Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Prayer to End Abortion

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life [witness] movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

O Mary, Bright Dawn of the New World
by Pope John Paul II
O Mary,
bright dawn of the new world,
Mother of the living,
to you do we entrust the cause of life:
Look down, O Mother,
upon the vast numbers
of babies not allowed to be born,
of the poor whose lives are made difficult,
of men and women
who are victims of brutal violence,
of the elderly and the sick killed
by indifference or out of misguided mercy.
Grant that all who believe in your Son
may proclaim the Gospel of life
with honesty and love
to the people of our time.
Obtain for them the grace
to accept that Gospel
as a gift ever new,
the joy of celebrating it with gratitude
throughout their lives
and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build,
together with all people of good will,
the civilization of truth and love,
to the praise and glory of God,
the Creator and lover of life.
Amen.

Pope Benedict XVi’s prayer for the unborn

Lord Jesus,
You who faithfully visit and fulfill with your Presence
the Church and the history of men;
You who in the miraculous Sacrament of your Body and Blood
render us participants in divine Life
and allow us a foretaste of the joy of eternal Life;
We adore and bless you.

Prostrated before You, source and lover of Life,
truly present and alive among us, we beg you.

Reawaken in us respect for every unborn life,
make us capable of seeing in the fruit of the maternal womb
the miraculous work of the Creator,
open our hearts to generously welcoming every child
that comes into life.

Bless all families,
sanctify the union of spouses,
render fruitful their love.

Accompany the choices of legislative assemblies
with the light of your Spirit,
so that peoples and nations may recognize and respect
the sacred nature of life, of every human life.

Guide the work of scientists and doctors,
so that all progress contributes to the integral well-being of the person,
and no one endures suppression or injustice.

Give creative charity to administrators and economists,
so they may realize and promote sufficient conditions
so that young families can serenely embrace
the birth of new children.

Console the married couples who suffer
because they are unable to have children
and in Your goodness provide for them.

Teach us all to care for orphaned or abandoned children,
so they may experience the warmth of your Charity,
the consolation of your divine Heart.

Together with Mary, Your Mother, the great believer,
in whose womb you took on our human nature,
we wait to receive from You, our Only True Good and Savior,
the strength to love and serve life,
in anticipation of living forever in You,
in communion with the Blessed Trinity.

Hail Mary,
full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

We praise and thank You Father for every human person whom You have loved into existence. Flood Your blessings upon all who welcome and nurture those whom You breathe everlasting souls. Grant that each of us lives fully Your commandments of love, Your gift of Your love to Your human creations.
We have received the opportunity to live our lives enriching others’ lives, yet some of our sisters and brothers suffer their lives to be stolen from them, even before they are born.
Father we ask that You grant Your Angels such great power over this world that they can stand between our little ones and their murder.
Have mercy upon those who through fear, pressure, or convenience, procure and those who preform the killing of Your precious children. Please pardon and heal them of this great wound in their spirits.
Have pity on us, our God, for the loss of so many valuable persons to our world. We are poorer not only for the sin of their murder, but also because they are our sister and brothers, intended as our family, our spouse, our teachers, our leaders, our friends, our community for all eternity.
Please give all the aborted persons a great ministry of prayer for their parents and for our world.
Mother Mary remembering the grief you felt when 12 year old Jesus disappeared for only three days, and remembering your pain when Jesus was unjustly arrested and harshly used, please pray for these parents, and the children.

“See that you never despise any of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven are continually in the presence of my Father in heaven.” [Matthew 18:10]
