Prayer: Dear Jesus, please strengthen us to pray always in word and deed for the faithful, the weak, the least of Your brethren, and all Sanctity of Life. Cause always to welcome strangers, even ‘strangers’ in the womb, from the moment conception when the soul is born into human life. O Lord who treats us the same, cause us to be good faithful witnesses to all human life. Please cause all people to believe in the Sanctity of Life especially those who call themselves Catholic or Christian. Cause us to hear the cries of the poor. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a [witness]…” --Jeremiah 1.5 “For thou didst form my inward parts, thou didst knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise thee, for thou art fearful and wonderful. Wonderful are thy works!” -Psalm 139:13-14 Thank you Lord for Your Holy Scriptures and the perfect faith & moral teachings of the Church.
Amen.

Redemptive Contemplations of the Gospel

1: Justice and Mercy for God’s people. Jesus Proclaims His Second Coming.
From The Gospel according to Luke 21:36
“But watch at times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of man."
From The Gospel according to Mark 14:61-62
“And Jesus said, “I am; and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”

Prayer: Dear Jesus, please strengthen us to pray always in word and deed for the faithful, the poor, and all Sanctity of Life.

2: Joy of God’s presence. Jesus teaches His Faithful 40 Days after His Resurrection.
From The Gospel according to Luke 24:29-35
“And he [Jesus] said to them, “O, foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (…) So he [Jesus] went in to stay them. When he was at table with them, he took bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them. And … they recognized him; and he vanished out of their sight. They said to each other, 'Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us … while he opened to us the scriptures?” And they rose … and returned to Jerusalem; and found the eleven … who said “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread.”
From 1st Corinthians 15:5-8
“(…) and that he appeared to Cephas then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at the same time, most of whom are still alive though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born he appeared also to me.” (italicized text for emphasis)

Prayer: Dear Jesus, please strengthen us to know your presence and to share You with others. Keep us strong for the faithful, poor, and Sanctity of Life.

3: Means of forgiveness for God’s people. Jesus gives power to forgive sin.
From The Gospel according to John 20:19-23
“Jesus came … and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’ (…) Then the disciples were glad they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you’ (…) he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any they are forgiven;’”
From The Gospel according to John 20:26-29
Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. (…) Jesus stood among them, and said “Peace by with you." Then he said to Thomas, “… do not be faithless but believing.” Thomas answered him “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”

Prayer: Dear Jesus, please cause us to believe Your forgiveness always in word and deed for the faithful, the poor, and all Sanctity of Life.

4: The Great Commission. Jesus Commissions/ReCommisssions Peter & the disciples.
From The Gospel according to Matthew 16:15-19
“He [Jesus] said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
From The Gospel according to John 21:3, 17-19
“Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing” They said to him “We will go with you” (…) He said to him a third time, ‘Do you love me?’ Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish to go.’ (…) And after this he said to him, ‘Follow me.’”
From the Gospel according to Matthew 28:20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Prayer: Dear Jesus, please strengthen our commitment to You always in word and deed for the faithful, the poor, and all Sanctity of Life.

5: Justice and Mercy for God’s people. Jesus Proclaims His Judgment of the world.
From The Gospel according to Matthew 25:31-46
“When the Son of man comes to his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will place the sheep at the right hand, but the goats to the left. Then the King will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee or thirsty and give thee drink? When did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee? And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me. Then he will say to those on his left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me. Then they also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee? Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.’ And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
From The Gospel according to Mark 24:24-27
“And they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And he will send out the angels, and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven"
From The Gospel according to Luke 18:8
“…now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?"

Soul of Christ, make me holy
Body of Christ, be my salvation
Blood of Christ, let me drink your wine
Water flowing from the side of Christ, wash me clean
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
Kind Jesus, hear my prayer
Hide me within your wounds
And keep me close to you
Defend me from the evil enemy
And call me at the hour of my death
To the fellowship of your saints
That I might sing your praise with them
for all eternity. Amen.

“Anyone who welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes Me." [Matthew 18:5]
“See that you never despise any of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven are continually in the presence of my Father in heaven.” [Matthew 18:10]
We praise and thank You Father for every human person whom You have loved into existence. Flood Your blessings upon all who welcome and nurture those whom You breathe everlasting souls. Grant that each of us lives fully Your commandments of love, Your gift of Your love to Your human creations.
We have received the opportunity to live our lives enriching others’ lives, yet some of our sisters and brothers suffer their lives to be stolen from them, even before they are born.
Father we ask that You grant Your Angels such great power over this world that they can stand between our little ones and their murder.
Have mercy upon those who through fear, pressure, or convenience, procure and those who preform the killing of Your precious children. Please pardon and heal them of this great wound in their spirits.
Have pity on us, our God, for the loss of so many valuable persons to our world. We are poorer not only for the sin of their murder, but also because they are our sister and brothers, intended as our family, our spouse, our teachers, our leaders, our friends, our community for all eternity.
Please give all the aborted persons a great ministry of prayer for their parents and for our world.
Mother Mary remembering the grief you felt when 12 year old Jesus disappeared for only three days, and remembering you pain when Jesus was unjustly arrested and harshly used, please pray for these parents, and the children.
Amen.

O Mary, Bright Dawn of the New World
by Pope John Paul II
O Mary,
bright dawn of the new world,
Mother of the living,
to you do we entrust the cause of life:
Look down, O Mother,
upon the vast numbers
of babies not allowed to be born,
of the poor whose lives are made difficult,
of men and women
who are victims of brutal violence,
of the elderly and the sick killed
by indifference or out of misguided mercy.
Grant that all who believe in your Son
may proclaim the Gospel of life
with honesty and love
to the people of our time.
Obtain for them the grace
to accept that Gospel
as a gift ever new,
the joy of celebrating it with gratitude
throughout their lives
and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build,
together with all people of good will,
the civilization of truth and love,
to the praise and glory of God,
the Creator and lover of life.
Amen.

Prayer to End Abortion

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn [pre-birthed].
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life [witness] movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!
