Hi
Can anyone tell me about the original text of the following passages and their significances in the context of the doctrine of the perpetual virginity of Mary
“The Holy Spirit Shall come upon you…”
Mary hadn’t conceived up until this point…?
“How shall this be since I know not man”
This seems to be that Mary is talking about the future. She finds it unlikely that she WILL conceive… because she knows not man.
Am I barking up the wrong tree with this? Do the original languages back this up? Or not?
best regards
