This might be a real touch subject. But in deep southern Mexico back in the 1970’s and the 1980’s a lot of Evangelicals were persecuted and some even beaten and their homes taken away by the mayor and his goverment of the town/village there. And even a pastor was killed. The evangelicals were mostly all indigenous people. But the majority of the town was Catholic…
So what are we to make of this? I mean here as Catholic Americans…Becasue I was an evangelical too for some time but then I came back on my own to the Catholic Church.
I’m almost crying as I’m typing this becasue I lived in Tijuana-by San Diego for about 9 years and I never saw persecution on either side…but there was some and/or a lot of persecution in southern Mexico…
