Paralyzed woman uses mind-control technology to operate robotic arm

Interesting stuff. Now the tech is here, how long until we can control an entire robot with thought? Be interesting if the concept of that movie “Surrogates” is possible now.

A good question comes up about this sort of tech, how much of the human body can be replaced with robotic parts in the distance (or close?) future? Everything, save the brain? How much of that can be replaced?

Wonder if they’ll be able to do a sensory (name removed by moderator)ut into the mind by tech.
 
I would be more than happy to be a 140 year old cyborg someday 😃

A materialist would say “all of it” - thereby disposing of his own identity! If “we” are biological robots there is no mind, self, person, thoughts, feelings or decisions - just billions of electrical impulses which know nothing and produce weird effects, i.e “isomorphs” of themselves.

If there is interaction between the mind and the brain - as most rational persons believe- there seems no reason why not.
