I am undergoing some personal persecution right now. Please pray that the Lord gives me the grace to accept it cheerfully, rather than lash out in anger

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Amen.

This is a saying made by non-christians in Rome who watched their neighbors being persecuted. No doubt Christians reacted to abuse in a way that looked peculiar to the regular Joe in ancient Rome.
“The persecuted Christians rejoiced for the opportunity to forgive knowing that forgiveness adds power to their prayers.”
I will remember you in my prayers tonight.
