Our little female Jack Russell mix is named Daisy because that was her name when we adopted her and we didn’t want to confuse her.

Our other dog, who likes to bite people he doesn’t know, we named Roger because Roger goes with Daisy. We have no idea what breed Roger is.

We also had a parakeet we called Spot. I found Spot on the street, struggling to fly and very weak, but she got over that fast and became a regular parakeet. Called her Spot because it’s a common name and we found her on the street.

Madeleine
This is the name we have on my dog’s AKC papers along with a secondary name Mae. However we refer to her as Maddie Mae. My previous dog’s name was Buddy because he was a buddy to one and all.

Our cat, who died last month, was named Spanky and was given that name by the wife, He passed one year to the day after Buddy left,

We had another cat years ago named Smokey as he was the color of smoke.

We will rescue another cat soon, The name has yet to be thought of.

My feisty cat’s name is Camo. She is a Dilute because where she should be black, she is grey, and where she should be orange, she is buff colored. Now picture this…
She has a white chest and white mittens like a Tuxedo cat does. Her front legs are grey and buff patches. Camo’s face looks like a Calico (grey, buff and white patches, but her nose, body color and tail are Tortoiseshell. One side of her nose is grey, the other side is buff. Her hips and back legs are buff and white Tabby striped. I was SO confused by her coloring, that I just named her Camo, for her great camouflage of what kind of a cat she was. My other cat is black. He is a big, mellow guy that I named Blackjack. (spelled differently than JanetF’s Black Jack. Great minds…).
I rescued both as kittens 10 years ago from two different vineyards while visiting friends.

My favorite pet (cat) was named after a city. It somehow just seemed to fit him, and I really loved the city. And I really loved that cat!

We adopted a kitten at the shelter yesterday. She is around six months old. I will post a pic sometime today. She is tri colored orange, black and white.

The shelter gave her the name Umm, which is going to get changed, but there is much debate as to what this new name will be.

The wife and two of my daughters want to name her Ziggy, but my oldest girl and I prefer Dolly.
