Hi I’m new with this forum,
And from what I have read, it seems to me that some of Peter Kreeft’s view are different with Summa Theologica of our angelic doctor St. Thomas Aquinas and also with Tim Staples explanation of heaven in CA blogs?
Why thus Peter Kreeft hold this such different view -examples [1] “This spiritual intercourse with God is the ecstasy hinted at in all earthly intercourse, physical or spiritual”. [2] “Sex in Heaven? Indeed, and no pale, abstract, merely mental shadow of it either. Earthly sex is the shadow, and our lives are a process of thickening so that we can share in the substance, becoming Heavenly fire so that we can endure and rejoice in the Heavenly fire.” <link can be found here peterkreeft.com/topics/sex-in-heaven.htm >
From his principle first principle Kreeft says “Sex Is Something You Are, Not Something You Do” -then adding “The counterfeit phrase “having sex” (meaning “inter- course”) was minted only recently.” However, towards the end of his blog -he goes using the term to mean bit contrary with his first principle. What is Kreeft really implying the first principle??
Please give me proper understanding so as not to give bias/to put down all his opinions. Still i’ll go with Tim Staples explanation of Heaven and the soul using words from the Catechism and St. Thomas Aquinas.
