Not sure if this belongs here but I wasn’t sure where to put it. Anyway, has anyone ever heard Peter Kreeft speak? He is going to be at our local United Methodist university Friday and it will be a free seminar on Education and Christianity. I’ve not read any of his books and wondered if the seminar would be worth going to?

He is awesome. I would JUMP at the chance to hear him speak!

he is one of my favorites! this guy’s amazing. I listen to his lectures online when I work at my computer (www.peterkreeft.com - look up featured audio). i’ve never had the chance to see him speak, but if I could I would be there in a heartbeat.

I would also jump at the chance to hear him speak. I have not read any of his books yet, BUT his name and work was brought up quite often in our RCIA.

I ordered one of his book last week and is just waiting for its arrival.

Kreeft is one of the best public Catholics out there, he’s extremely orthodox yet extremely ecumenical. I’ve listened to a couple of his lectures online and he is AWESOME!!

I’ve actually taken a couple of classes from him. I said this in the philosophy forum, too, that I’d recommend hearing him speak before buying his books.

He is one of the best Catholic authors of today!

It would be awesome to hear him speak.

Definitely go. He’s a convert from Dutch Calvinism but finds a way to build a lot of bridges between Catholics and Protestants.

I’ve taken three courses with him at BC (I’m a student there) and he’s also helping me write my senior thesis this year which is on the historical reliability of the New Testament. He’s totally solid and, usually, a very engaging speaker. See him.

I’ve taken a few (4) classes with him too. I have a friend who’s majoring in him (she’s taken all but 2 of her philosophy classes with him). He’s a great speaker but sometimes doesn’t quite answer the question. But yeah, especially if you haven’t heard him speak before I strongly suggest sitting in on a lecture.
