Extremely clever man,i make my judgement on what i have read…

He loves Chesterton and C.S. Lewis…therefore, he can’t be that bad.

Personally, I really enjoy his stuff!

God Bless,

He attempts to answer tough questions, which I admire. His enthusiam for Heaven gives me hope. I also enjoy his logic and his wit.

I recommend visiting his web site. He has a large number of audio presentations which are great for lazy readers like me. 🙂

Peter Kreeft is a solid catholic convert. I like the way he is able to breakdown philosophical positions in very simple terms. He has a cd by St. Joseph Communications entitled: 7 Reasons Why Everyone Should be a Catholic. It’s well put together.

And his book “Socrates meets Jesus” is an excellent examination\defense of orthodox Christianity via the Socratic method

👍

By the way, if you enjoyed The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis, you will love the sequel written by P. Kreeft entitled The Snakebite Letters. I enjoyed reading them both.

I encountered PK when I was still Protestant and going to college. I read his book The Best Things in Life and then Socrates Meets Jesus. I had no idea he was Catholic.

I did receive an email reply from him once. I had emailed him at Boston College (I think) and asked him about some good Catholic Theology Journals that dealt with contemporary Catholic thought and theology. He replied that he didn’t bother with that stuff. Or something to that effect.

I wanted to keep emailing him, hoping, like some middle school groupie, that we could become friends and he’d invite me over to his house some day, but decided against it.

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ever read of his. His simple “Prayer for Beginners” is awesome - easy to hand out to anyone.

I would read the instruction manual to a microwave oven if he wrote it, just for the sheer pleasure of his clear, concise writing style. Doesn’t matter what topic, everything he writes is a pleasure to read for a devotee of good writing.

hes awesome, in his book about Angels, a line goes something like this: “then there are the really stupid creatures, such as slugs, and TV Producers” I had a good chuckle!

In his book Heaven I was constantly stopping and rereading. He would put in a little humor that I would read over at first then go back and laugh at. The one I remember offhand is “God is like a giant flea circus…”
