I have read (don’t remember where) that Peter Kreeft’s Catechism has an Eastern emphasis/influence in certain portions. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Assume you are referring to Kreeft’s analysis of the CCC as expressed in his book, Catholic Christianity.

While I have not read it, I have discussed this book with other Eastern Catholics who have done so, and have read several critiques. Many have generally commented on its insight and concise, well expressed and comprehensible analysis.

Note that the CCC itself references the Early Church Fathers frequently, and much about Eastern spirituality and theology. To the extent you and others may have detected some hint of “Eastern influence”, as you put it, it is likely that Kreeft’s analysis is thorough enough to have recognized and brought out that aspect of the CCC itself.

I know have another reason to move this up on my reading list!

I haven’t read any of his works yet, but after reading this thread I may stop all my summer reading to get this.
