It’ll happen anyway. Might as well work against blasphemy while you can. Besides, it won’t be long before Muslims run the country. The left is on their way out. They never seem to think how unadaptable, evolutionary-wise, their thinking is. They love to only continue family lines that have no “feeble-mindedness”, while they phase their own type out. That’s Satan, thinking he’s got it all figured out, while being blind to God’s higher (the highest) reasoning.
I don’t think this is the answer. We are to turn the other cheek. Some secular French paper does not care if Catholics are offended by what it does, and in fact, probably does things like this just to drum up a big fight to get more readers. To jump up and down and write letters to the editor whenever a secular media outlet does something that “offends” us as Catholics only feeds into a victim mindset that is dangerous to the Church. What happened to the Church triumphant? If God be with us, who can be against us, and all that?!!
If the government is passing laws that interfere with our right to practice our faith, that’s one thing, but if a private media outlet wants to publish a cartoon like this, let them. Better yet, cancel your subscription, and
do not visit their website!! It only gives them more readership and internet “clicks” which allows them to make more money by charging their advertisers more.
Rather than send angry mail, I think we should go to our favorite Catholic websites instead, learn more about the faith, and try to win a handful of converts in our lifetime. If every Catholic in the world could win one convert in their life time, the world would be Catholic in a short time and papers like this would go out of business.
As far as your second post, if Muslims will run the country [France?], they’ll shut the paper down, so why do we care? If the Left is “on their way out”? Then why do we care about this paper? If a group wants to continue its family lines, how are they phasing their own type out? And if they’re doing so, wouldn’t that be a good thing in your mind? And if Satan will lose out to God in the end, why do we care what a single French newspaper thinks or does?
We should give up fear! Give up victimhood! Stop being scared, practice your faith openly and lovingly and draw in new souls to the faith, and the rest will take care of itself!
And above all, let’s not start picking up the habit of Muslims who apparently think the views of a lone Danish cartoonist is a mortal threat to their faith and conception of God.
