FAST for ST PETER ST PAVL FEAST
15 June, 2009 begins fast in preparation for feast of the Glorious and All Praised First Highest Apostles Peter and Paul to be celebrated July 12, June 29 Old Style. Fast begins 15 June. It always to begin on Monday of all Holy Saints, the date of which is variable and fast ends on 12 July. The longest period of the Petrov Fast is 6 weeks, and shortest 8 days. This fast is created in honor of the Holy Apostles who prayerfully preached Evangile by their holy example raised up disciples in Christian service. On most days of this fast Fish and vegetable oils are permitted. Catolics also observe such feast I believe - perhaps fasting now will help us to find unity of Christ’s churches through prayers of Holy First High Apostles.
