Philokalia story about Monks

HI ya’ll,

I read over on a thread at byzcath that there exists a story in the Philokalia about some monks who appeal to Alexandria, Antioch and then Rome regarding some dispute. Is that true? If so, I would love to see the original text. Thanks!
