Philosophy Director

Hello,

I know that many people on here recommend people getting Spiritual Directors to guide them towards Christ or to vocations, &c., I just got an idea, why don’t people have philosophical directors? They can be people who recommend you read the writings of x philosopher and then discuss it with them. Would anyone here be interested in starting something like this? I am just a semi-philosopher so I couldn’t be that instructor but I would be interested if anyone on here would want to help me out in this way.

If one has a Spiritual Director who guides them in their belief and practice of the faith, why,on earth, would one need a Philosophy Director? It seems to me that a “Philosophy Director” is nothing but a lay version of a Spiritual Director for non religious people.
If you really would like both, search out a Jesuit Priest.

If you would grow in the knowledge of philosophy…pray for Wisdom…She is the best theology/philosophy teacher.
