Christ described the details of two dueling types as is expressed by the angels of God (sheep) and the angels of Satan (goats). A philosophical point to make about these two dueling entities is that in actuality all of us are one are the other at different moments in time; For example, an instant of selfishness makes us fall on Satan’s side, and an instant of selflessness, makes us fall on Christ’s side. Hence; all of us are mixing between the two forms constantly. This would make the end-times very depressing as we would somehow instantaneously become aware of these two forces in our own consciousness as like a positive and negative integers swaying us back and forth, therefore the whole life experience becomes lifeless and mathematical until God fulfills his promise to “make all things new”.

I disagree. Christ speaks of separating the sheep from the goats in Mt 25:32 and how He will separate both at the end of the world. All people aren’t goats (which are the damned) since not everyone is in a state of mortal sin thus lacking in sanctifying grace.
The only way for the “sheep” to become goats isn’t by a selfish act per se but a selfish act that is grave in nature which is done by the free consent of the will and with knowledge of it being gave matter and ergo remaining in that state unrepentant to the end of ones life.
Selfishness itself doesn’t constitute grave matter, it has to be a selfishness of grave matter in order to put us into the goat camp. And not all persons are waffling back and forth from mortal sin to sanctifying grace, some actually stay in a state of sanctifying grace to the end of their life.
