This image is at the Knock Shrine, the national Catholic shrine of Ireland. Click on the photo for a larger view.
in 1879, at about 8 in the evening, in an event that would be approved by the Catholic Church, 15 men, women, and children saw a supernatural apparition, silently appearing for hours outside a small parish church in a rural village in Ireland. These people are shown at the bottom of this mosaic. They saw the image of the Virgin Mary, her eyes raised in prayer, with Saint Joseph to her left and St. John the Evangelist to her right. To their right was the image of Christ as a lamb on an altar, a cross behind the lamb.
This great mosaic has 1 1/2 million pieces.

(An article on this mosaic, recently unveiled, is provided at http://www.catholicbishops.ie/2016/02/29/unveiling-of-new-apparition-mosaic-at-knock-shrine/ )

beautiful, thanks for sharing, always great to see how much God really loves each and every one of us.

I’m glad you posted this. I’m a big fan of Knock. Very interesting apparition. If you go to the Knock Shrine’s website, you can read all the testimonies of the witnesses. Really amazing.
