Hello everyone,
Here is a photo show of my clothing or vestiture. I am now officially part of the Dominican novitiate! I want to thank everyone for their help and prayerful support during my discernment. Please continue to pray for me, that I will persevere in doing God’s will. I will be praying for all of you as well.

Congratulations!

One question. It appears the vestiture was done in a library, rather than in a Church or Chapel. Is that usual?

Investiture can take place in a chapel or a chapter hall. It is not a liturgical act, but it can be.

Thanks for all the prayers and positive comments–posted and unposted! The ceremony was private, so not in the chapel. It is the library/chapter hall. There is a beautiful mosaic there. I belong to the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament, Farmington Hills, MI.

Once again thank you for sharing your story and pictures with all of us as well as the websites for the Dominican Nuns in your area.

Pardon my ignorance but what is your name? I noticed on the side of the photo’s and when the video starts it states, Sr. Karyn but you sign your name as Sr. Eve-Marie.

I will also keep you and all the (Dominican) Sisters in prayers as well.
