This new Diocese of Puthur in Karnataka is carved out from the territory of Bathery Diocese of Kerala and the Bishop of Bathery Dr Geevarghese Mar Divannasios was transferred to Puthur.

FIRST SYRO MALANKARA DIOCESE IN KARNATAKA STATE.
 
Amen! Aleluia! Glory Be To God! It is nice to see the faith growing in India.May the new bishop succeed in leading his flock within that part of the world. It is a challenging time to be a Christian within that part of the world. I pray that God’s Blessings fall upon this church and bishop. :signofcross:
 
None of them are wearing shoes. 🙂

One of my friends is from Andhra Pradesh, and he’s Latin Rite. He told me they don’t wear shoes to Mass over there. It’s cool to see photos of it.

God grant him the grace to guide his people faithfully!
 
Bro.You are wrong.

All Syro Malankara Bishops wear a special red shoe meant for use inside the Church only along with altar vestments.
