Children and the sweet-toothed were overjoyed on Feb 5th 1953 as the rationing of sweets ended in Britain.

I remember it well .

I came to my grandmother’s during the dinnertime from school .

But my mind wasn’t on my dinner .

My grandma gave me some money , and for the first time I went to the shop at the top of the street to buy some toffees . I bought a packet of Spangles .

What a delightful day ! 😃

In all seriousness, very cool. One of our priests is there with a group of high schoolers. I’m glad the weather looks clear!
