Hi all! I’m going to start RCIA classes for teens soon (I’m coming back to the Church) for confirmation, and one of our assignments is to pick a patron saint and write a paper about him/her. Writing the paper is no big deal, but I can’t seem to choose a patron saint. There are so many! Can anyone think of some that might work for me?
I’m a 16 year old girl and I love reading and am probably going to study library science in college (which is why I’m considering Catherine of Alexandria, for one). I love knitting, baking, wasting time online, and my greatest ambition in life thus far is to become a good wife and mother. I also like birds–doves, in particular. Some of my biggest spiritual weaknesses include: doubts, fears, and an unpleasant amount of pride.
tsktsk
I also had one more question. Do some people choose Mary as their personal saint, or is that just not done? I really admire Mary, but I’m wondering if it’s a little arrogant to pick her because I am so unlike her.
Hope I put this in the right forum! God bless.
