Does anyone know how I can get the pictures off my phone and onto my computer? Has anyone done it before…I have a verizon phone…any help would be appreciated:D.

Yep.

There should be an option when you go to the picture to “Send In Message”. Select that, and instead of putting in a phone number in the To: screen put in an email address. You probably will have to change the entry mode from numbers to letters by pressing the “#” key a couple of times (you should see a little note that changes from “123” to “#$%” to “abc1”. You want the “abc” entry mode. Type in the full email along with the @ sign. For example Blank@blank.com

Alternatively you can use the “Send to PixPlace” to send the message to your verizon account online. But that is stored online, and not on your computer.

Any help?

I have some experience with this, with several different phones.

First of all, sending your pictures over the air will only work if you have the appropriate options in your plan…which will end up being quite expensive, because Verizon is so expensive to begin with…

Does your phone have a memory card slot? If so, this is the easiest way to transfer the pictures, if you don’t want to pay extra to send them.

Does your phone have bluetooth? You might be able to send them to a bluetooth-enabled computer.

There are also cables that sometimes allow you to copy the pictures to your computer, but these can be quite difficult to set up.

Most phones now-a-days have a “simm” card (or memory card) in them that stores all your pictures and videos. If your computer has a card reader just take it out of your phone and pop it in the reader and you can open and save the files to your computer. If you don’t have a reader you can email them from your phone to your home email. As a last resort if you have a memory card in your phone you can go to wla greens or target or walmart at a place that does photo printing. Ask them to take the pictures off the card and put them on a CD for you. I think wal greens does it for like 2.99 Hope this helps.

Note that the “sim card” and the kind of memory card that holds pictures are not the same thing.

We’ll need to know
  1. What kind of a phone model you have
  2. What kind of a computer
before we could really help here.

I have a Verizon Razor and I have both a pc and a macbook.
Send a text message with the picture to your email address (just type the email address in where you’d type in a phone number to text to)…

Should work!

Verizon phones don’t have sim cards…

If you have a memory card in the phone, you can buy a USB converter. It costs half a dollar here.

If you have a cable plug, well, then you use a cable. Less convenient that a card.

If you have a blootooth adapter on your phone, or an infrared one, you can also buy one for your computer.

Finally, yeah, e-mail.

Verizon doesn’t use sim cards, as Em stated. And it’s been my experience that Verizon has the phone manufacturers disable any cabling drivers unless you buy a kit from Verizon.

I don’t think Razor’s use memory cards but I could be wrong. If this phone has V CAST or some other music sync capability it might be possible to send pictures the same way?

The easiest way is to send a pix message to your email address but if you don’t have a text messaging plan that should be used judiciously since it’s at least $0.25 to send a picture message. It’s probably even more by now.

Yeah… but that $0.25 pix message is a lot less than investing in the $25+ cabling kit…
As long as you don’t abuse the charges and do it all the time… it’s an easy way to get the picts off your phone…
