Santa Clause is purely a secular invention, that historically came from St Nic, which refers to Catholic Bp Nicholas a 3rd century bishop in today S. Turkey. St Nicholas bones are buried under the Cathedral in Bari Italy. I visited his tomb in 1999. One can read the story of St Bp Nicholas to get the real story.
