Today I was on youtube looking up religious videos and an immodest video came up (i don’t know if it is considered porn or not). However, I watched it - not to lust- but because I was afraid that it was porn. But there were immodest pictures on there and I watched another video. I never lusted, but I’m afraid that I committed a mortal sin. I want to go to confession but I went yesterday, and there is none today at this time. I can go tomorrow, but I’m afraid the priest will laugh because of the I went to confession two days ago. I just hope I didn’t sin. I like the motto death before sin. I think I may be scrupulous.

I agree that you may be scrupulous - but you also have a point.

You need to set up a relationship with one confessor, so that he knows you may have a tendency to scrupulosity.

It is never silly to go to confession; to quote Shrek, “Better out than in, I always say.”

Since I am not Jesus, I cannot see into your conscience. So I can’t judge whether your sins are mortal or not. But you ***may ***have sinned by watching the video, after you made the determination that it was immodest.

Take it to your confessor! You can always make a date with him outside of the normal hours for confession.

Thanks Ruthie. I think that it was venial because I don’t know if that is considered porn and I don’t know if it was sinful. I know that porn is sinful, but I don’t think that I committed a mortal sin.

I am curious as to why, then, if you thought it was going to be porn, you decided to watch not only it, but, if I am understanding you correctly, another one as well that was similar?

These are my questions as well.

If you click here, you will see a naked person.

How many of you are tempted to click on the above link?

Sometimes our curiosity can be a near occasion for sin. What are your expectations, desires, anticipations before you click on the link? What is your motive for wanting to see a naked person? Therein lies the answer to whether you’re flirting with sin.

Very Astute! 👍

Yeah the priest is going to laugh at you…get real. I’ve posted for the last time on here. I can’t stand the weirdo posts anymore. See you on the other side folks.

Whatever, everyone has to have been worried what the priest would think of them when attending confession at some time or another.

I once confessed a sin. Comitted it again later that day and confessed it on the very next day. I was very scared Father would scream at me or refuse absolution until I was able to show him that I really did mean to avoid the sin in the future.

This if especially hard when you are in a parish where the priest knows your parents or when he’s known you since you were a young child.

We definantly still need to confess, but it can definantly feel awkward and intimidating.

Good riddance.Hopefully,we’ll be in Heaven.I can’t see you getting there.Glasgow Celtic were founded by a Marist Brother in 1888 to feed the poor in the East End of Glasgow when there was no WelfareState. Most of the poor were Irish Catholic
immigrants.Unfortunately, there are the hangers-on who don’t live up to the Faith at all. They wrap the Papal Flag round themselves on the day the team plays, but wrap the blanket round themselves
on Sunday when it is time to go to Mass.As Celtic_FC has indicated they don’t have a problem with pre-marital sex.Of course,Glasgow Rangers Protestant supporters are every bit as bad.Neither club nowadays has its religious connection, though the hooligan element would like to pretend otherwise.
In spite of this guy’s Missouri location,i believe he is a refugee from Scotland.Glasgow Celtic were the first British team to be European Champions in 1967.The above poster seems to have hijacked their name.I’m old enough to have seen that team play.He isn’t.Only four of them were older than me.They were magic to watch.
Forget David Beckham and his Spice girl wife,Victoria, and L.A.Galaxy.David is not fit to lace the boots of Celtic’s 1967 team.Apparently,Victoria wears the trousers, but David managed to have an affair. My Dad was spoiled rotten by my Mum,but she would have given him his cards if he had betrayed her.
