Pier 1 to file bankrupcy

This one doesn’t break my heart other than the loss of jobs. I felt they had mostly cheap stuff that was overpriced. I wondered how they kept the lights on five years ago!
 
I loved shopping at a Pier1.If anything I feel they became a lot classier over the years.
 
The one we had in my city closed about three years ago, so they very well might have changed since then.
 
They did, back in the days when I was a newly wed, and picked up a lot of stuff, on a 2nd Lt’s pay, to set up house. They did go upscale a little, over the past few years. So I went to World Market. More like the old days. And a free cup of coffee of the day.

I don’t recall ever buying very much at Pier One Imports. Maybe just once in awhile, when I saw something I really liked.

I just hope Kohls doesn’t fold. That’s one of my favorite stores.
