Hey again!

I was just wondering if anyone has been on a pilgrimage to the Shrine and/or EWTN in Alabama, either in a group or individually? I would like to go and spend a couple of days, even just one day, there. I think it would help me become a better and more faithful person spiritually. What do you think? And please share any other pilgrimage experiences too. I just feel that this is something that I am being led to do and would really like the (name removed by moderator)ut of everyone on this subject! Thanks so much!

My dh and I belong to a lay association group that went on a one day pilgrimage to the new Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in La Crosse, WI. Even one day was truly a blessing, even though it was cold and misty that day, we all came home renewed in soul and spirit.

Pilgrimages are special because we are making an extra effort to meet with God. Whatever happens to you on pilgrimage is God talking to you and letting you see things you haven’t seen before and give in ways you haven’t given before. I highly recommend going on one, even if it can only be for a day.

My wife and myself went on a pilgrimage to the religious shrines of France, i,e Lourdes, Lisieux, Nevers, Paris, etc, for our 25 wedding anniversary. Will go again next chance we have, it was awesome!
