I have read Placebo by Howard Pittman , has anyone else?. Because it scared me very badly, in it it claimed only 2% of the world is going to heaven… is this ture? It was a NDE and if it is true I am afraid i wont go to heaven :imsorry::imsorry::imsorry::eek::eek:

Is he Catholic? If not, then remember that he is not the Church Magisterium. Also, pray to God and ask God to help you love God more.

Having had a NDE myself - which was far from pleasant - I’m leery of those who claim they went to heaven. Or anywhere, for that matter. It’s a NEAR death experience, not actual death. Everything the person experiences is in his own head.

No one on this earth knows how many people or who among them is destined to go to Heaven or not. Anyone who tries to throw out a number is fabricating it outright.

Don’t be scared by this.

Thank you, he claimed that “the holy spirit told him while he was at the gates of heaven” or something like that:shrug:

I believe he was baptist, it still freaks me out
And thank you for answering:blessyou:
From this and your other threads, I would say to stop reading things that are written by Baptists. I don’t know how old you are, or how long you have been Catholic, but you would do better for yourself to read some Catholic writings.

I second this. If you need any good Catholic book recommendations, we can always help you find one.

Edit: Here’s a good book. I’ve never read it, but I’ve heard good things about it. ignatius.com/Products/ADP-P/abandonment-to-divine-providence.aspx
