Placement of the Tabernacle

I am looking for information on where the Tabernacle is to be placed in the Sanctuary. I checked the General Instruction of the Roman Missal, but it was not there (that I could see). Specifically, I would like to find the direction from Rome that states where the Tabernacle is to be placed, ie; off to the side somewhere in the Sanctuary, or on the actual altar.

I used to have all this info, but that was several computers ago! Somehow, my favourites didn’t all transfer over with my other data. 🙂
