Places for traditionalists to relocate

Im surprised nobody mentioned Post Falls / Coeur D’alene, Idaho. It’s one of the largest traditionalist strongholds in the U.S. Both FSSP and SSPX have considerable apostolates there although the scale definitely tips towards SSPX which has a very large and thriving parish, schools, Dominican teaching Sisters etc.

FSSP is catching up out there and they have Fr. Ripperger at the helm. There current location is not the best but they have plans for a new Church.

Economy is not the best there but spokane is only 20 minutes away and if God wants you there it will happen.

I am strongly considering relocating in order to be part of a stable, active Catholic traditionalist parish/community. Has anyone on this forum considered this same possibility, or actually done so? There are obviously many, many practical considerations to be considered and difficulties to overcome. But as a single person with no children or other family ties, I would have a much easier time of it than most people.

Insights? Positive advice?

I would not relocate based on the presence of a traditional Catholic community alone, but if it is important to you, I’d certainly consider it. I considered it a long time ago, but I learned that I need more than a Traditional Latin Mass to be happy living somewhere. The diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska is respectful of tradition. Remember though that places can change- almost overnight sometimes. I don’t expect Lincoln to get worse- but other places could get better. I live near Kansas City, and years ago, this diocese was horrible. The chancery staff said the Church was little more than an organization of social workers. Orthodoxy, reverence, tradition, personal faith, and spiritual growth were not important- all that mattered was what we did for the materially poor. We got a new bishop and things changed almost overnight. The most important factor in where you go is where God wants you to go. He knows your needs and will see that they are met.
