I don’t know what’s in the video as I wasn’t there, and I presume you were not either. With today’s technology, audio and video have no inherent unchallengable integrity as evidence. Even simple selective editing can produce something 180 degrees opposite what the true context of the situation really was. If someone has enough money and expertise, the entire thing could be done with CGI with no real humans involved at all.

For all their lumps and shortcomings, I trust the FBI to be able to sort out all the facts and determine if any criminal misconduct was conducted, and on whose part. I trust them a hell of a lot more than an anti-abortion group with an agenda to get PP at any cost, and I trust them more than PP itself. My gut tells me that they had matter of fact discussions with this fake “pimp” and soon got alarmed the more they heard from him and smelled something wasn’t right. Then they called the FBI, which is not something true criminal conspirators do.

If I’m wrong about that and PP workers did in fact have an inclination or practice of aiding and abetting crimes, then it’s also clear that any legitimate investigation and prosecution which might have been done has been endangered by a moronic and amateurish guy playing cop for his own agenda. If that’s the case, I hope they throw the book at him and the hacks who supported him.
Watch the video, it is coming straight from the employee’s mouth. You are trying very hard to gray the PP agenda.

If what you say is true, why did they fire the manager of that PP office?

Like I say, let the evidence lead where it will. It does sound like this particular employee demonstrated a disregard for the spirit, if not the letter of the laws regarding reporting suspected abuse. Whether that was part of a wider policy or culture remains to be determined. Dig away, FBI!

Demonstrated a disregard for the spirit? You should have left that part out…your support for PP is gushing.

I do support them in concept, but if individual workers or the organizational leadership participated in crimes or unethical behavior, they should answer for it and suffer the same consequence in law as anyone else.

In the case of the ACORN sting, the videotape was severely edited and was much more ambiguous (or contrary to the assertion of wrongdoing) in the full-length video, which the perpetrators of the sting only gave up weeks later when forced to do so by various states attorney general, including Jerry Brown in California.

PP personnel may have acted badly, but given the outcome of the ACORN sting, I’d prefer to wait until the full story is out before I rush to judgment.

I hope the tape causes PP to be de-funded as was acorn. Their site says more tapes to come.
