Bloomington, IN – The Planned Parenthood staff member in Indiana who appears in a recent undercover video covering up an alleged case of statutory rape has been fired. The video sent shockwaves throughout the nation as “Diana” didn’t want more information on the abuse and told a girl how to get a secret abortion.

Good. At least they didn’t try to protect the worker, which I had half-expected. They actually did the right thing in this instance.

Now if they would only quit beheading babies.

She was a sacrificial lamb. The only reason she was “fired” was because she got caught. If I were a betting man, I would lay money that her records show that she was NOT involuntarily terminated.

This is a widespread problem at ALL abortion clinics, be they part of PP or another organization.

Did anyone besides Bill O’Rielly put it on TV? His was the only report I saw.

The PP people really feel that there’s no such thing as a bad abortion. In there veiw, they are helping this aleged 13 yr old our of a bad situation with as little fuss and stress for her as possible.

I’m glad this woman was fired, but I’ll bet 9 of 10 PP workers would have done pretty much the same thing, and most of their financial backers would applaud.

Somehow, we have to convince them that babies in the womb are people, too. Given how much evidence is on our side, I have no idea what more we can do.

What can be said? It’s a business, and in this case, one that is very much in the government’s back pocket. Protecting it’s own interests is the fuel for the fire. Who knows how much funding could be lost if nothing were done to fan the flames.

I agree that a termination in employment would probably not have occurred if the issue were not brought to the public eye. Apparently, abortion isn’t as low on the scale as statutory rape for many.

And you have evidence to back this up? Please site your sources
Covering up a sex crime isn’t news unless it involves a priest or a bishop
I find your sarcasm insensitive and just plain bad taste in light of what Real Rape victims have put up with already from the church.

First of all there was NO RAPE/ NO CRIME of 13-year-old, no baby, no abortion;

It was a “sting”, yet every Catholic blog/news site headline screams “Planned Parenthood Fires Abortion Center Staffer Covering Up Statutory Rape” and you have to read through to find out first of all, there was no child raped, that it a 20 year old college student posing as a 13 year old using “Michael Moore” style tactics/ and “Borat” interview ambushes.

Second, I wish that I had saw/ or could still see some of the same headlines and outrage on these same Catholic sites these REAL CRIMES were committed against REAL CHILDREN and headlines about the REAL LIVE BISHOPS who not only covered it up, but caused MORE REAL CHILDREN to be REALLY RAPED.

and last of all, if this budding Pro-LIfe “journalist” wants to be taken seriously, let her do all the do the same work reporters had to do to break through the fortress of lies, secrecy and denials that journalists had to do to even find the tip of the iceberg that became the Priest Abuse Scandal; let her do the kind of tedious research, have 1000 doors slammed in her face, sort through mounds of records (if they are anything like the church, it will take years, and she still will not get what she asks for, what the courts have ordered to be make public, or will get them only after PP settles out of court, and then have no one care, when she discovers the crimes were 10 times worse than PP admitted to, but is untouchable because the cases were “settled”). Let her try to get past the "code of secrecy, claims of doctor/patient privilege, and do it before the statutes of limitations kick in; and let her keep up the “good fight” even when PP gives up one or two sacrificial lambs, gets some of those liberal top hollywood box office types to make public apology infomercials, reorganizes, rewrites guidelines, sets up safeguards to prevent future incidents, and declares the problem solved…

But public attention span being what it is, she is at a loss as what to do with new victims, who continue to trickle out of the pipeline she has finally opened…

And the “bad apples” she worked so hard to expose are finding their way back into PP with little public protest, because everyone knows, ALL THE CLINICS DO IT, FEEL ENTITLED TO DO IT, HAVE A DUTY TO DO IT, and shouldn’t have to answer to those who don’t understand their mission…

As long as their supporters stand behind them and they do just enough to keep the law at bay, the grants pouring in, keep the PR machine running and have a few dog and pony shows to show the world all the GOOD they do.

Can she keep at it when there is no cheering section, when some of her own turn on her, call her obsessed, and write her off as a someone who is just out to get PP as a personal vendetta; or accuse her of just trying to get enough dirt for a big book deal, and that she doesn’t give a hoot for the victims.

Just asking. Because if there are victims of PP crimes (raped children, forced abortions…) out there, they need help.

Not sure how my sarcasm is insensitive, but I’m sorry if you think it was. I find what happens to victims horrible no matter what, but the media loves attacking Christians almost exclusively.

A sting operation? Okay, so what? It was still a conspiracy on the part of a Planned Parenthood worker to “cover-up” a “crime.” How is this not disturbing? It is not an isolated incident which is why someone set up a sting operation to begin with. I know Real Rape victims, so I am not unaware of their turmoil. My comment was not targeted toward them, but rather toward the mainstream media. They ignore some incidences that seem “un-newsworthy” in favor of more controversial ones for the purpose of creating outrage and better ratings. I think it’s called “exploitation.” I believe this is more insensitive than anything else.

Also, the article on the link makes it fairly clear in the first two paragraphs that it was a sting using a college student. There was indeed a crime committed. Even though the 13-year old was actual a college student in her 20’s, the PP worker believed her to be a 13-year old. Failure to report the crime is a crime for them. It is the same as when a predator is contacting who he/she believes to be a 12-year old on the internet, but it turns out to be a police detective or private agency. They are held as responsible as though the victim were 12-years old.

Again, I apologize for the miunderstanding. I only desire to see victims treated with the care they deserve, whether actual victims or potential ones.

Prayers and petitions,
Alexius:cool:
