Lincoln, NE (LifeNews.com) – A Nebraska Planned Parenthood has settled a lawsuit filed by a Nebraska woman after a botched abortion that resulted in the perforating of her uterus and a severe loss of blood. According to doctors who treated the woman after the failed abortion, the procedure could have taken her life.

After the botched abortion, physicians had to perform an emergency hysterectomy on her and she is now unable to have children.

Not to sound mean or crude, but how ironic. A woman tries to have an innocent life killed and now she can’t have any children.

No doubt she’ll regret this one day. If she ever wanted to have children in the future, well, that’s just tough luck now.

This part of that article is particularly sick and sad. It seems to show how many women must scream out in fear or pain, perhaps wanting to change their minds even at that moment and how they are treated: I’ve underlined those points.

After waiting several hours, the woman was taken into an exam room and given a shot in her cervix. She then heard a suction sound and “immediately complained of excruciating pain,” according to the lawsuit. She told the abortion practitioner and his assistants to stop, but Severson allegedly replied, “We can’t stop.”

According to the lawsuit, a copy of which was originally provided to LifeNews.com, three Planned Parenthood employees held the woman down while Severson completed the abortion. The woman experienced severe pain and bleeding afterwards and experienced three seizures by the time she was rushed to BryanLGH Medical Center East.

A hospital report said her uterus was perforated in the abortion and doctors there had to perform an emergency hysterectomy because of the severe damage to her body. “Had she not received emergency care when she did, it is my professional opinion that the patient could have hemorrhaged to death,” the doctor said, according to a signed statement Downing obtained.

I am not defending her, I am just pointing out the indignity with which people are treated, the sick, callous way they must be treated. It makes me truly ill. The whole thing sounds demonic.

It sounds very demonic. I pray this woman finds mercy and healing with our Lord.

I pray that she will find healing, not only physical, but in all other areas as well (emotional, mental, spiritual). Maybe she can become a counselor or an advocate for other women.

Sadly, the dead baby cannot sue anyone.
