Planned Parenthood Marks World AIDS Day, Told STD Man to Give Blood

Slightly misleading headline there. The incident at the Roanoke, Virginia PP happened months ago and had nothing to do with World AIDS Day.
 
Probably depends on which STD, as to whether it is a blood-borne pathogen. Blood banks have specific lists of diseases which are automatic deferrals. Things like HIV, hepatitis B/C, malaria, etc. I don’t recall them ever asking about things like herpes, HPV, syphilis, although the general guideline is if you know you’re sick or not feeling well you’re supposed to not donate.

Syphilis is definitely a blood-borne pathogen, and gonorrhea can be. Both are on the deferral list used by American blood banks.

However, the real issue is that the Roanoke PP employee who recommended going to a blood bank for a free STD test should have referred the individual to several free testing clinics in Roanoke. The PP employee was poorly informed, and likely poorly trained.
 
I think we all just need to face up to the fact that Planned Parenthood is an evil organization. They do no good for this society at all unless you consider the health exams they do for women. We don’t need Planned Parenthood in the United States. There are plenty of other free and low cost clinics that could take their place that would provide free health exams. All Planned Parenthood does is contribute to the idea that the world revolves around “sexual freedom”. They are also huge promoters of the intrinsic evil of abortion. I hope and pray that the entire Planned Parenthood organization just completely ceases to exist and sometime very soon.

I see no problem in observing World Aids Day. The majority worldwde with HIV/AIDS are not homosexuals.

They come from all sides of life, from people who got tainted blood to babies who were born with AIDs, to wives of bissexaul and drug abusing husbands.

Many or even most of the people with AIDS are innocent victims!
