The documents are just routine pleadings. Interesting thought: who is at fault here? Planned Parenthood, the girl, or the mother? Are all involved culpable? If so, how should fault be attributed? Should be mother be able to recover damages when she herself took the girl to Planned Parenthood? How about the girl? What is her responsibility? If the mother isn’t supposed to protect her baby, who is? These seem like difficult issues.

If the girl is underage or was misled, she isn’t at fault. Just being a rape victim is traumatic enough to impair thinking for a while, anyway. Did the mother give informed consent to the procedure? PP definitely knew the risks and was most likely willling to take the chance. They are an organization of people who think unwanted children are a major cause of many social problems. Sometimes when people think they’ve created a new answer to all society’s problems they overlook the risks their plans entail.😦
