Recently, speaking with a priest, he repeated words to me that he has said before – usually in the context of “sharing the Truth”. His words were:
During this 100th Anniversary Year of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, I’ve been re-reading Sr. Lucia’s last book written before she died: “Calls” from the Message of Fatima . You may have read excerpts I posted from that book already in this Spirituality Forum here on CAF.
I wondered if those excerpts could be used as seeds in our parish Bulletin. I asked our Pastor and he agreed.How beautiful it might be if these seeds could spring up as “flowers for Our Lady”! In the approved Kibeho Apparitions, Mary asked one of the seers to “water her flowers” and the young girl knew Mary meant God’s People gathered there.
It seems to me “Evangelization” can be simpler than we may think. If we are open to the Holy Spirit’s “still small Voice”, He will show us, as He showed Mary, how to bring Jesus to others. Our parish begins publishing short excerpts from Sr. Lucia’s book on Jan. 8 - Feast of the Epiphany – how appropriate – Mary is the “Star of the New Evangelization.”

For some reason, or more accurately, by some grace of God, I really heard those words in a deeper way. I continued prayerfully considering what particular seeds I might scatter. I share this in hope you may also consider “planting seeds”.
