Players are also not save.In Pakistan,terrorists attacked on guest Sri Lankan Cricketers.For the 1st time Cricketers are attacked in sports history.Shame!! I have read this news via my native news papers and here .also from BBC.

PS. Cricket is not popular sport in Europe and America,but in South Asian countries ,Cricket is the most favorite sport and peoples are crazy for Cricket.Some times Cricket considers as second religion for Indians. Cricket is also very favorite sport in Bangladesh,pakistan and Sri Lanka.
 
The Australian cricket team (also big downunder) is not allowed to play in Pakistan and hasn’t been for some years now. The Indian team stopped going to Pakistan a while ago, and as I’ve read, Sri Lanka was a substitute for the Indian team.

The Sri Lankan team has gone to other dangerous places that other teams will not go. I think, and pray, this policy will change now.

As to what will be the impact. Cricket is also a “religion” in Pakistan. Whoever is behind this is trying to cause anarchy.

Pray that someone in Pakistan in authority has the good sense to disarm their nuclear capacity before it’s too late.

We are going to suffer a lot for the incompetence of our Western leaders to face the reality of the threat of the Islamic death cult, trying instead to compromise and reason with those who do not compromise and do not respect reason.

Ya you are correct,Sri lankan team was a substitute for india.India wanted to go but after the terrorist attack on Mumbi,india has changed their decision.But one thing,Although cricket is very favorite in pakistan but in Bangladesh it(cricket) is much favorite than pakistan.And in Indian it is the 2nd religion.Sometimes pakistanis also claim the same but it is not authentic.They consider india as their enemy even in Cricket field,and this is why pakistanis some times show extra madness for Chricket but as the enemy of indian team.A pakistani cricketer Mohammed yusuf(former yusuf Yohanna) once said that Bangladeshies are crazy for Cricket more than pakistanies.
And about india,i read that they even do not eat or sleep,when they watch Cricket.🙂

Well, we have lots of Indians and Pakistani’s here. And I can assure you, of the Pakistani’s I’ve met, they too eat, sleep and live for cricket. Though I’m sure it gets rather livelier amongst the crowd if India vs Pakistan plays in Australia. However, they’d soon find out the police here are less tolerant.

Having said that, some AFL (Australian Football League - Aussie Rules Football) can be just as exciting amongs the crowds.
 
My brother lived in Oz for a number of years and he turned me on to Aussie Rules.I wish we had more opportunity to see it in Canada.I can only liken it to full contact North American football played in shorts and jersey with no helmet nor ANY kind of protection.Referee white suits and fedoras are uber cool.
 
Well,maybe you are correct too.cricket is considered as the 2nd religion in india i know that and cricketers,specially sachin tendulker is considered as god.i am not sure about pakistanis really.maybe some of them are also like indians.but i am a bangladeshi and i know that my countrymen are also mad of this game,perhaps more than pakistan.but unfortunately bangladesh is new in cricket and weak also.so no one knows about our fans.:).anyway lets pray for the wounded cricketers.
 
Let’s not forget those that died in this terrible attack and their families.
