Playing certain video games a sin?

[Singularitie]

The one I have in mind is Civilization V, in which one makes decisions that are obviously cruel or unnecessary for personal gain. Also, you can found a religion but to do so must first found a polytheistic “pantheon”.
Anything sinful?

No, Civilization V is not sinful.

And in this game and others, I don’t have to play as a Christian right?

Right.

[Razanir]

Right.

That said, it was still incredibly fun the time I founded Catholicism followed by Germany founding Protestantism shortly afterward. I may or may to have gone on a crusade.

Not at all. It’s a game! Have fun building an empire.

Sorry for the bump, but would Crusader Kings 2 or EU4 be sinful?
