Oh wow. Even though I’m a Protestant, I still understand the importance of attending a weekly service. Doesn’t the book of Hebrews command us to do so? Huh, so much for keeping Holy the Sabbath Day. And really, an hour really isn’t that much time. Shouldn’t you devote at least one hour of your time on the Sabbath to the LORD?
👍 I agree

Why would a priest say such a thing. At one point in Catholics didn’t eat mean on any Friday.
Some priests say a lot of things we don`t expect them to say, they are fragile humans they have a lot of personal thoughts about things just like everyone else

YES!! Very yes!
Another time, a Catholic man told me during holy week that a priest told him it`s a good Friday when U have meat to eat, again takes all kinds, proving that we catholics do not see everything in the same light
It is a good Friday when one has meat to eat. It doesn’t mean one HAS to eat it, but, clearly, if one HAS it, one is not wanting.

but they are called to served and not be served

Everything isnt the way its supposed to be is it?
Are you intentionally trying to deny what majority Catholic feel and believe. I think you need an examination of conscience. I know I need one at least once a day

Yes hardly any two people see things the same, & I DO examine my conscience

I haven’t heard of anything that you agree with that the Church in Rome agrees with or anyone on this forum for a matter of fact

Our parish has what has been coined the “golfersMass” It is at 7AM. Our town has at least four golf courses and is very Catholic and all the golfers can be seen coming out of that Mass…it is also the shortest…no music and short homily.

You have a nerve to say that to me, I am probably a better Catholic than You are
:tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk:

It isn’t nice to assume that you are a better person or Catholic than anyone else

Well I probably am, why are You talking to me the way You are, You have no idea what is between me & My God, so I have different ideas about some of these posts, so what, I have lived a lot longer than You perhaps i have reasons for the way i feel about certain things

Is that acceptable according the GIRM or Code of Canon Law???

Are you saying that you and I share a different God. I hope not. In what tone am I talking to you??? I am only giving you a constructive tone that I give everyone else. When you assume, you make a jack (inserted instead of the regular word) out of you and me.

You are the one who assumes, see how foolish U are trying to put words in my mouth

excuse me. You are the one putting me up on pedestal “U” I don’t deserve such title. Get some proper English ettiquette. Internet ettiquette is quite rude and offensive

Plus putting judgment that isn’t righteous isn’t for you. Only God can be my judge

There U go again, you are nothing but a trouble maker You seem hardly Christian if You are your a strange one, I know what Christians are & You dont fit the description,You right away came on here judging me .
It is rude of U to criticize my typing or etiquette, You are hardly a Christian, Christians are sensitive & Kind, You seem to lack both

Name one thing I judged you on??? It’s funny how quite a few people agree with me on forums like this. All I am here is for is to help other towards God so they achieve salvation. Again need I remind you IM lingo is very offensive in the real world

And who are you to judge??? You aren’t. You have never met me nor do you know anything I believe in. If you by chance know what the Credo is when it is sung at Church, you would take it heart and understand what Credo or creed means in the profession of faith.
