From past experience, I recommend that she evacuate now, especially if an evacuation order is in place, mandatory or other. Being out of electricity is not a good way to stay at home, not to mention the many dangers of falling trees and power lines, flooded streets, and unexpected situations. I will pray for her safety and that people who need to leave will do so. A lot of people make a decision to evacuate when it is too late. Also, the emergency personnel who need to rescue residents are placed in danger. I know you asked for prayers. I am concerned for everyone in Hurricane Matthew’s path.

My God,
I believe most firmly that You watch over all who hope in You,
and that we can want for nothing when we rely upon You in all things.
Therefore I am resolved for the future…to cast all my cares upon You.
People may deprive me of worldly goods and status.
Sickness may take from me my strength and the means of serving You.
I may even jeopardize our relationship by sin, but my trust shall never leave me.
I will preserve it to the last moment of my life, and the powers of hell shall seek
