I just found out today that my cousin, who my parents raised from age 13 and was like a brother to me, is in the hospital. He had a mental breakdown of sorts that has been a good 10 years coming (rough family life before my parents took him). He has two beautiful boys, a 18 month old and a 4 yr old, and a very nice wife. I think of this as a cry for help but i am so scared that he will not be able to see the light in the darkness. The reason he is in the hospital is because he hurt himself badly, although he did not actually try to commit suicide (THANK GOD). I feel so badly for his boys, he will most likely, IMO, be in the hospital for Christmas, and he is 2 hours from home. I don’t know what I can do for him…he has many issues to deal with and has never been to therapy before so i hope he will get what he needs. Suicide is one of the worst things ever and I know i will always be scared for him and his family from now on. Please pray that he will look to God for answers and be comforted. I wish i knew what i could do for him. Now, he is embarrassed and will not talk to my mother and would not see my father who drove 2 hours to pick up his car and see him. Hopefully this will pass and he will become close with his family again.
