How, exactly? I said nothing about one rite being better than another, I just pointed out a simple demographic fact. I have great respect for Eastern Catholics. Careful when jumping to conclusions, friend.
 
It’s this kind of Roman centric garbage that keeps many Eastern Catholics from participating on this site. I’m not responding anymore to you. I’m done.
 
I assure you 100% that I had no thoughts of Roman-centrism or “offending every Eastern Catholic” with my original comment on this issue. As stated above, I have nothing but respect for the Eastern Churches. They have beautiful liturgies, churches, and traditions, and their members here add a valuable voice to the conversation. I also have great respect for Eastern Orthodox, and even attended an Orthodox Church for a (short) time. Is that “Roman centric garbage”? You don’t know me, we’ve never corresponded here before. So I repeat: do not jump to conclusions.

Science has brought us the atomic bomb and biological and chemical weapons. The result has been a horrible and terrifying experience for thousands of innocent children in Japan. And as well children have died horrific deaths from chemical warfare in other countries. I don’t see this as a bright and happy future for those children who suffered under these weapons developed by science. Planet of the Apes has portrayed the possibility well - Man armed with his knowledge of science has destroyed the entire world and wiped out human existence. The future is brighter and happier for the apes who exist without the scourge of the human species and its scientific knowledge.

I am only pointing out that science has brought all of mankind to the brink of total extinction. What happens if the codes to unleash a nuclear war are hacked by a terrorist group?
 
Science has also saved us time and again. What happens if we just stop using our agriculture innovations? Or medicines?

Tomatoes would taste much better without the artificial fertilizer that is being used now in the USA. I have tasted really delicious tomatoes grown in a country and area where only organic fertilizer is used.

There are plenty of natural herbs used for hundreds of years in china that work perfectly well.

Also, herbal remedies become medicine when they actually work. Tiger gallbladder doesn’t do anything except kill tigers.

I won’t argue because I don’t think anything productive will come of this.
 
That’s like judging religion by the holy wars or by the inquisition. Most things have a good and bad side. Science also eliminated tuberculosis and smallpox.

Are we less happy than apes? Who knows? We’ve done some bad things but that the same time if a meteor was headed to earth, who could save it but us?

No because tuberculosis is found in several countries including India, Indonesia, China, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, Philippines, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Myanmar, UR Tanzania, Mozambique, Viet Nam, Russian Federation, Thailand, Kenya, Brazil, Uganda, Afghanistan, Cambodia & Zimbabwe.
 
By all means though; give up on all science has given us. Start with the internet and computers 😉
