Please: Confession Help

Hello,

If you can help me on this, I sure would appreciate it. Here goes; I went to the Sacrament of Reconcilation today and am not sure if the absolution was valid. The priest when giving absolution failed to say Father, Son and The holy Spirit when absolving me. I in a very polite way pointed out to the priest that he did this, he was very cordial and gave another absolution when I explained that it would trouble me if he didn’t mention The Father, Son, and The Holy Spirit. My main question is this, does the following meet the requirements for a valid absolution, and am I making a mountain out of a mole hill.
May God absolve in The name of The Father, Son, and The Holy Spirit. I know satan want’s nothing more than for us to doubt our absolution so I certainly don’t want to dwell on this. Please help with your advice.

Correction: The priest said may God forgive you (from your sins) in the name of The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit.
The words in quotations I think he said, but not sure.

If you intended to make a good Confession, and he intended to give you the Absolution, then you are just fine.

Don’t worry about the finer details. My priest absolves me in Latin; I have no way of knowing if he “gets it right” every single time. But I know that he is intending to give me the Absolution, and that’s the important thing.
