When you find mass graves containing 400,000 bodies (current count) what difference does it make if they were killed for ethinic, religious or political reasons? Are they any less dead if they were killed for one reason, and not another?
If that is the basis for our invasion of Iraq, then why did we not first attack Ethiopia or Somalia where estimates of more than one million Christians have been killed by the Moslems in one or both of those countries? Besides, wasn’t the original stated basis for the invasion the non-existent WMD’s?

If you think we should invade Ethopia or Somolia, go right ahead. The rest of us will be along after we finish up in the Middle East.http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon10.gif

And the U.S. was supposed to turn a blind eye while Saddam was harboring terrorists? Do you realize that France and Russia were giving sanctuary to Iraq before the first Gult war? Given their Pro-Palestinian stance. Once again, you’re just arguing in circles and its not working.

What do you mean non-existant WMD’s? It is well documented by the CIA that Iraq did in fact have WMD’s. Saddam just simply took them apart and put them in Syria. It doesn’t take much to make them either. All they would need to do is go to the local hardware stores or something and the terrorist will get all they need. Or do you give in the opinions of the liberal-controlled media?

Wasn’t there more than one stated basis for the invasion? When did the WMD’s become non-existent? Oh! Of course! When Saddam Hussein hid them! 🙂 Or…er…I could be wrong. Maybe it was when people looked the other way when the Kurds were gassed.

In the 80s when we were selling him weapons and chemicals? Seems like looking the other way to me, yep.

Never been proven. If it had been proven, Tony Blair would have said so a gazillion times.

Also, if it was the case, don’t you feel like saying ‘oops’? At least when Saddam ‘had them’, we had some control over them. Now they could be anywhere, if they ever existed. Wonderful plan.

As far as I’m concerned ( in the words of Ann Coulter) the Bush haters’ prewar predictions-- hundreds of thousands dead, chemical attacks on our troops, retaliatory terrorist attacks in the United States, an invasion by Turkey, oil facilities in flames, and apocalyptic environmental consequences-- didn’t happen. That’s what I call delusional thinking. Heck, I saw a cartoon that had a animated figure who read a book called “Fiary Tales for Democrats.” Heck the liberals even tried to convince us we were losing the war. Huh? The war in Iraq is going so darn well, and yet what do the liberals say, they come out with this ‘Bush-lied-kids-died’ agenda.

This is the CIA mike. And I find them quite reliable.

I also remember the conservative fairy tales before the war: stockpiles of WMD everywhere, Iraq people forever grateful we are there, mass surrenders like 1991, quick exit.

We always believe Saddam hid WMD.
Iraqi people except terrorists is grateful US/UK is there.
There’re large surrenders/desertions only you probably don’t call it mass
I don’t know when someone said quick exit. it’s no longer the 1991 goal and it’s obvious there would be terrorism.

There is just as great a chance that the missing WMD’s are at the bottom of the sea in the Bermuda Triangle as they are in Syria. If they were in Syria, the Bush Regime would be crowing, if not invading.
