Dear friends in Christ: Please join me in prayers for Percy’s father, who died on Jan. 14.

Byzantine Catholic Prayer for the Deceased

O Lord, grant rest to the soul of Percy’s father
in a place of light, a place of green pasture,
a place of refreshment, where all pain, sorrow,
and sighs have fled away. As a good God Who
loves humankind, forgive every sin committed
by him, in word, deed, or thought, for there is no
person who lives and does not sin. For You are
without sin, Your righteousness is everlasting,
and Your Word is truth. In Jesus’ name, amen

Prayer to the Blessed Mother in a Time of Bereavement

O sweet mother Mary, you knew the sadness
of mourning those your heart loved most:
Jesus, your Son, and Joseph, your devoted spouse.
Please pray for all affected in this time of loss.
Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
 
Offering up prayers to our Heavenly Father, grant eternal rest to Percy’s dad and let perpetual light shine upon him. Also please grant comfort for the family, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Father please forgive and accept Percy into your kingdom. May all of his sins be forgiven. In your name, Jesus amen!
