I am a catholic. I went to a Jesuit high school and nearly finished my degree at WSU. My life took a turn down a wrong track (drugs, prison, and pain). The last number of years I have rebuilt my life and have a deep awe for the divine as it was God that brought me out of that dark life. I met a woman 2 years ago. She is now my fiance and we lan to marry in June.

She was raised in “the truth” (Jehovah’s Witness).
The truth? All it itakes is minimal effort and time to read what they believe and teach and realize it is anything,but the TRUTH! Jesus a perfect creature who also saves? I thought only God alone can save?
She is on the fence about her faith and was never baptised. We started s study with a JW elder and his wife. We go to meetings, assemblies, and her family is just thrilled I am on my way to the truth.
More on the lines of darkness and lies. JW’s do not teach the truth,but a distorted 19th century version of their truth.
I am very confused! I have packed away my crucifix, stopped celebrating holidays,and study their NWT bible daily.
The NWT? A horrible translation and do not buy into their ‘proof’ which supports the NWT as highly admired by scholars.
I have been told my son will have to be removed from catholic school, and literature not approved will eventually need to be removed from my house.

Learn your Catholic faith and what accurate historical Christianity has always taught and believed long before the JW’s even arrived with their unorthodox beliefs about who Jesus truly is.

Because you are allowing yourself. No offense,but JW’s usually like to go after people with troubled back grounds or unstable lives. The weak-minded and those with no self-will.

Pagan symbol? Yes the cross was invented by pagans,but if it is so wrong,then why did Jesus die on it for our redemption? Jesus died on a stake? In the early Church it was the T-shaped cross that was designated by *stauros *in Greek and by crux in Latin. The evidence for this is abundant and can be found in several areas of study–history, archaeology, art, patrology, liturgical tradition, etymology, paleography, and the New Testament itself.

Keep in mind that Jesus is both God and man. Some verses, such as these last five, refer exclusively to his Godhead. Others refer to his humanity. So far as he is God, Jesus is equal to the Father.

If their theory were true and there were no soul which survives death, it is difficult to see why the re-created “you” is not just a copy of you. It may have all your memories, but it is hard to see why it is not just a copy. If God had created this copy while you still existed, the fact it is a copy rather than the real you would be obvious.
If it is a copy, that causes problems of justice. Because you ceased to exist, you–the real you–were never punished for your sins or rewarded for your good deeds; you simply ceased to exist. Similarly, the copy of you which was created on the Last Day is then punished or rewarded for things it never did.
